- Delegate Intro
My name is Jake Rubin and I am the primary representative for the NYU Blockchain and Fintech club for Origin governance. In the past we’ve put up proposals for reallocation of stablecoin reserves and investments in delta neutral positions that took advantage of abnormally high funding rates on Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures. Our club is committed to bringing more students into crypto and getting them placed in the industry upon graduation.
- Do you have any core values you stick to when voting?
My biggest core value is of common good. If I believe it’s for the best of the protocol and holders of Origin products (LSTs and stablecoins for example) to vote for a particular proposal, I will vote. Secondly, I think of security. If a certain investment or change to the structure of the DAO seems to pose unnecessary risk, I’ll likely vote against.
- Disclosure/possible conflicts of interest
I do not have any particular bias and am not involved in any DAO besides this one. The only investments I have are in DePIN coins and Bitcoin and I do not currently own any OGN products besides some of the OGN token.
- Delegation statement/closing thoughts
When I first took an interest in crypto it was decentralized governance that caught my attention. Having the opportunity to be actively involved in helping to shape a better future for Origin is something I find very interesting and look forward to continuing. I see a bright future for this DAO and I hope to be actively involved far after I graduate. I look forward to seeing what new ideas the community comes up with
