TLDR of Origin’s Community Call - 10/06/2025

1. OGN Buybacks & Staking

  • OGN Buybacks: In September alone, 6.8 million OGN (over 1% of circulating supply) was bought back from the open market, funded by 100% of protocol fees.

  • Strong Treasury: The DAO treasury for buybacks remains robust at over $3 million, despite months of consistent buybacks, thanks to asset appreciation and strong fee generation.

  • High Staking APY & Lock-up: Staking APYs remain highly attractive, with rates up to 41% for max lock and ~30% even for 1-month locks. Nearly 40% of circulating OGN is now locked (39.35%).

  • Revenue Drivers: OETH remains the largest fee contributor, followed by Super OETH and other products (OUSD, OS, ARM).

2. ARM Vault & Lido Partnership

  • Major Validation: Lido deployed liquidity into the stETH ARM vault, a significant endorsement from the largest LST provider.

  • Growing TVL & Yield: The stETH ARM TVL has more than doubled in recent months, surpassing $20 million. Yields have consistently outperformed other liquid staking tokens.

  • Institutional Inflows: Allocations from MEV Capital, Sommelier, and YO Protocol are driving growth. yoETH vault currently allocates ~10% (~1000 ETH) to the stETH ARM.

  • Future Expansion: Actively exploring building new ARMs for other Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) on Ethereum.

2. Key Integrations & Updates:

  • Borrow Booster Live: The new Super OETH / USDCmarket on Morpho is live, creating a novel dynamic where borrowers can be paid to borrow (negative borrow rates, currently ~ -4.5%) due to Super OETH yield incentives. TVL is approaching $1M.

  • Upcoming OETH Upgrade: A major OETH upgrade is in development, moving to Merkle proofs to remove oracle dependency, enabling auto-compounding yield, and integrating with new Ethereum staking features for improved capital efficiency and security.

  • Ecosystem Integrations:

    • Pendle: Markets are live for both stETH ARM and OS ARM.

    • New Protocols: Soneta Finance launched with wOS as collateral.

    • Yield Optimizers: YO Protocol (Yo.xyz) and Sommelier have made significant allocations to Origin products.

    • OUSD on RWA.xyz: OUSD is now listed on the RWA.xyz data platform, alongside major stablecoins like USDC and USDT.
