TLDR of Origin’s Community Call - 09/09/2026

1. Origin’s data on Bloomberg

2. OGN Buybacks & Staking

  • Cumulative Buybacks: Almost 112 million OGN bought back from the open market to date. All funded by protocol fees.
  • Staking APY: Max-locked OGN currently earns 10.6% APY.
  • Supply Staked: 47% of supply is currently staked as xOGN.

3. WETH ARM Growth

  • TVL: Around $8 million, now roughly the size of the stETH ARM.
  • APY: ~4% on a 30-day average; 3.8% annualized net of no impermanent loss.
  • Cumulative Volume: $131 million in trading volume, with a single-day high of $10 million — more than the vault holds.
  • Asset Coverage: Acquires stETH, wstETH, eETH, and weETH, versus prior ARMs limited to the non-wrapped version only. Larger total addressable market.
  • Mechanics: Single-sided WETH liquidity. No impermanent loss and no leakage to external arbitrageurs or MEV bots.

4. OETH Migration Complete

  • Status: Migration to compounding validators is fully complete. All staked ETH now earns through compounding validators.
  • Benefits: Compounds in one ETH increments, removing the nine-day wait. Partial withdrawals remove the need to exit a full validator when someone leaves.
  • Security: Merkle proofs on deposit validate withdrawal credentials of staked balances.
  • Capacity: 13 compounding validators live, each capable of holding just over 2,000 ETH with roughly 26,000 ETH of capacity.

5. OUSD Yield

  • 7-Day Trailing: 6.5% APY, steady for one to two weeks.
  • 30-Day Trailing: 5.7% APY, up from a prior range of 5–5.5%.
  • Allocation: Distributed across Ethereum, Base, and Hyperliquid, primarily in Morpho markets. Constant rebalancing toward the highest yield.
  • Driver: More bullish market conditions and increased borrowing leverage.

6. Ecosystem & Integrations

  • OpenCover – New Covered Vaults
    • New Vaults: Coverage now supports the Ethena sUSDe ARM and the multi-asset ETH ARM.
    • Mechanics: No duration or amount selection. Deposit the full amount into Open Cover and receive a receipt token representing the coverage.
    • Capacity: 509 ETH on the WETH ARM and around $1.3 million for sUSDe ARM.
  • Morpho Markets
    • superOETHb/USDC: Negative 1.87% meaning collateral depositors earn from their borrow position thanks to borrow booster.
    • OETH/ USDC: Net borrow rate under 1%, making it the cheapest option to borrow against ETH collateral on mainnet at scale.
    • superOETHb/WETH: Borrow rate at 2.02% against a Super OETH yield of ~2.83%, leaving room to loop until utilization reaches 91%.
    • wOUSD / USDC: Borrow rate is 5.5%, making leverage looping profitable at the current rate based on OUSD’s latest yield numbers, though the market is nearing the threshold.
